Personalised teaching only matters if it leads to a recognised qualification.
At Learn High, we work backwards from the examination. During the academic review, we identify the right qualification, subject, examination board and target examination series. From there, the academic plan is built around what the student needs to learn, when they need to learn it and how they will be prepared for the examination.
The student and parent remain responsible for arranging examination entry with an approved examination centre. Learn High does not submit examination entries, but we can support with the relevant information and help complete registration forms where needed.
At Learn High, we work backwards from the examination. From the initial consultation to results day, here is how the pathway unfolds.
We begin by identifying the qualification, subject, examination board and target examination series. The academic plan is then written backwards from the examination, mapping the specification and identifying what needs to be covered, developed and assessed before the student reaches the exam.
Learn High + familyOnce the plan is established, teaching and mentoring begin. Lessons follow the academic plan, with progress continuously monitored against the specification and examination objectives. The plan is adjusted where the student's progress, needs or pace require it.
Learn HighThe student and parent arrange registration with an approved examination centre. Learn High can support the process by clarifying the relevant qualification and subject information and helping complete registration forms where required.
Student / parentMock examinations become part of the learning process. Students complete exam-style papers under timed conditions, with performance tracked across topics and question types. We identify where marks are being lost and use that information to adjust teaching and preparation.
Where access arrangements may apply, these are also considered with the relevant examination centre.
Learn High + student / examination centre where requiredAs the examination approaches, preparation becomes increasingly focused on examination performance. We work through past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports and examination technique. Lessons focus on the specific areas where the student can improve their understanding, accuracy, timing and marks.
Learn HighThe student sits the examination at the approved examination centre under the examination board's conditions. Learn High's role is to ensure the student has been academically prepared for the examination and that the teaching pathway has remained aligned with the qualification throughout.
Student + examination centreWhen results are released, we assess the outcome against the original academic plan and the student's goals. From there, we continue the pathway: whether that means progressing to the next qualification, preparing for university or identifying the next academic objective.
Learn High + familyLearn High does not submit examination entries, but we help students and parents identify suitable centres in the UK and Switzerland.
Examinations are sat at registered examination centres, which may include independent schools, further education colleges or dedicated private candidate centres.
Availability varies by examination board, subject and location. Based on the student's location and chosen qualification, Learn High can help identify suitable centres and suggest relevant options.
The parent or student contacts the centre directly and is responsible for arranging and booking the examination entry. Centre administration fees are set by the individual centre and are separate from Learn High's fees.
Students can sit UK-curriculum examinations at suitable registered centres in Switzerland, including some international and British schools.

Some qualifications and subjects include practical, coursework or non-examined assessment requirements. These can be particularly important for students studying outside a mainstream school because the requirements may need to be completed or assessed through an approved examination centre.
International qualifications can have different structures, including written alternatives to practical examinations for certain subjects and specifications.
This is why we discuss the requirements for each subject during the consultation, before a pathway is agreed.
We identify any practical, coursework or non-examined assessment components within the chosen specification and explain what they involve.
Where the qualification requires practical work, coursework or assessment through an examination centre, the parent or student is responsible for identifying and arranging a suitable centre.
Learn High can suggest options or provide guidance where appropriate, but does not arrange, book or take responsibility for the examination centre or practical assessment.
Learn High can support the student academically through teaching, preparation and guidance relating to the qualification. This may include helping the student understand coursework requirements, preparing for written practical papers or working through relevant examination material, depending on the specification.
The specific requirements are considered before the student commits to the pathway, so the family understands what the qualification requires and what must be arranged externally.
Every programme is aligned to a specific specification from the outset. We teach to the board's assessment objectives, mark schemes and examiner reports, not to a generic version of the subject.
