Learn High builds a full academic programme around your child — a personalised plan, one-to-one teaching from a subject specialist, structured examination preparation and continuous progress tracking, all working toward a recognised qualification. A tutor supports the lessons. We are accountable for the pathway.

Both, depending on what your family needs. Some students use Learn High as their main academic programme. Others stay in school and use Learn High alongside it to strengthen particular subjects, add academic structure, or prepare properly for examinations. We will help you work out which makes sense during the consultation.

No. We work with students who have fallen behind and lost confidence, and equally with students who are already doing well and want to go further — deeper subject work, sharper examination technique, or a specific university target in mind. What the two have in common is that a classroom of thirty is not built around either of them.

Yes. Learn High runs across both the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and GCSE, IGCSE and A Level qualifications are recognised internationally, including by UK and European universities. Sessions are scheduled around your local time zone, and if your family relocates mid-programme, the programme moves with you.

It starts with the free 45-minute academic consultation. We look at where your child is now, which subjects and qualification they are working toward, what is getting in the way, and what they want next — a university course, a career direction, or simply a stronger set of grades. From that we recommend a pathway, explain why, and you decide whether to go ahead.

It means real decisions get made about your child specifically: which subjects, which examination board, how fast to move, which topics to rebuild from the foundations, how many sessions a week, and what the milestones are between now and the examination. The plan is written for them, reviewed as they progress, and changed when their needs change.

Yes. Plenty of families begin with the one subject causing the most concern and expand once they have seen how the programme works. The pathway is designed to grow with the student rather than requiring a full commitment on day one.

Yes. There are no terms, no cohorts and no waiting for September. We begin from exactly where your child is in their learning, whenever they are ready — including part-way through an examination year.

Qualified, experienced subject specialists, matched to your child’s subjects, curriculum and examination board. Our teaching team includes graduates and educators from institutions including LSE, Cardiff University and the University of Zurich.

We match on four things: subject expertise, experience with the specific examination board, availability against your child’s schedule and time zone, and teaching style against how your child learns best. The match is a considered decision, not whoever happens to be free.

Yes. Continuity is a large part of why one-to-one works — a teacher who already knows what your child found difficult last month does not have to start again each session. Where a student studies several subjects, they will have a consistent specialist for each.

Tell us. The student–teacher relationship genuinely matters, and if the approach is not working, we will review the match and change it where appropriate. You will not need to argue the case or wait out a term.

Always one-to-one, always live. No group classes, no recorded lectures, no pre-packaged video course. Every session is a live teacher working with your child alone.

We teach toward GCSE, IGCSE and A Level qualifications, aligned to Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International and AQA specifications. These are the same qualifications taken in mainstream UK schools and recognised by universities internationally.

Subject availability depends on the qualification and examination board your child is following. We cover the sciences and mathematics, business and humanities, social sciences and languages. We will confirm the exact subject combination available for your child’s pathway during the consultation.

Students sit their examinations at a registered examination centre appropriate for their qualification and location. LearnHigh is an academic programme rather than an examination centre, so examinations are taken through the relevant examination centre. As part of your child's academic planning, we explain the examination process and support you through the steps required for examination entry. For families in the UK and Switzerland, we discuss the appropriate arrangements during the consultation and make sure you understand where and how your child's examinations will take place well in advance. Our aim is to make the examination process as clear and straightforward as the learning journey itself, with no unexpected steps later.

LearnHigh supports families through the examination registration process, helping you understand the requirements and ensuring that the necessary steps are planned well in advance. Examination fees are not included in the monthly LearnHigh programme fee. These are paid separately to the relevant examination centre or awarding body. Our team helps you understand what needs to be arranged and when, so that examination requirements are incorporated into your child's academic plan rather than becoming a last-minute concern.

You receive regular written progress updates covering what was taught, how your child performed, and what comes next. Your child receives individual feedback after sessions, along with learning resources and, where appropriate, mock examinations and assessment tasks. You are never left guessing.

Guided and Accelerated pathways include monthly academic progress reviews and parent updates. The Intensive pathway includes a more detailed monthly progress analysis plus a parent consultation. Each update covers topics taught, how your child is performing against their plan, what is improving, what still needs work, and the next set of milestones.

We look at why. Sometimes the pacing is wrong, sometimes there is a gap further back that needs rebuilding, sometimes the teaching approach needs to change. We adjust the academic plan, the approach or the level of support — and we tell you what we are changing and why, rather than waiting for you to ask.

There are three pathways. Guided starts from £190 (CHF 210) per month, with around two personalised sessions a week. Accelerated is typically £375–£500 (CHF 400–CHF 550) per month, with around four sessions a week. Intensive Programme is typically £500–£750+ (CHF 550–CHF 850+) per month for a fully customised programme. The right pathway is recommended after the free consultation, based on what your child actually needs.

We believe families should know exactly what they are paying for. There is no registration or joining fee, and there is no separate charge for mock examinations or for our support with examination entry. Learning materials provided as part of your programme are included. If your child requires additional lessons or services beyond those included in their agreed programme, these can be arranged separately and discussed with you in advance. The examination fee itself is separate from the LearnHigh programme fee. Everything included in your child's programme is clearly explained before you commit, so you can understand the full cost of the programme from the outset.

LearnHigh programmes are personalised around each student's subjects, academic goals and timeline, so there is no single minimum programme length that applies to every student. Your agreed programme duration is confirmed clearly before you begin. For programmes with a fixed term, we ask for at least one month's written notice if you wish to end the programme. Where a customer ends a fixed-term programme early, an early-termination charge of 15% of the remaining contracted programme fees may apply, subject to applicable consumer rights and the terms of the individual programme agreement. We also understand that circumstances can change. If your child needs to take a break because of holidays, illness or another significant change in circumstances, please speak to us so we can consider what may be possible within the agreed programme. Our aim is to provide the consistency students need to make meaningful academic progress while remaining considerate of changing circumstances.

Sessions can be rescheduled at no additional cost with 24 hours’ notice. Programmes are built to absorb training schedules, travel, relocation and illness without your child falling behind — the plan flexes, the pathway does not stop.

Student safety, wellbeing and privacy are fundamental to the way LearnHigh operates. Before joining our teaching team, teachers go through a careful verification and onboarding process. We review their identity, passport and relevant academic and professional qualifications before they are permitted to work with LearnHigh students. Teachers are selected and verified as part of our own team rather than being sourced through an open tutor marketplace. Our teachers are expected to follow LearnHigh's safeguarding and professional conduct requirements. Any safeguarding, welfare or serious safety concern must be reported through LearnHigh's designated safeguarding channels, with appropriate action taken where necessary. Online sessions are delivered through established digital platforms. Student information is handled carefully, with access restricted to authorised individuals who require it for educational, administrative, safeguarding or legal purposes. We take particular care with information relating to children and handle personal data in accordance with applicable UK and Swiss data-protection requirements. For us, safeguarding is not simply a policy on paper. It is part of the responsibility we take on when a family entrusts their child's education to LearnHigh.
